Heaters Needed Worldwide
With the world's food shortage problem likely to hit many countries
in the coming years, many governments will most likely follow the
example of China in the 50' and 60's. When the Communist Party of
China took over power in those years resorted to hard disciplinary
measures requiring people from the highest official of the land
to the lowest citizen to help produce food in the farms for one
week every year. It was only through this system that China recovered
from the many shortages of food every year causing their population
of over one billion famines and starvation,
Countries now with big populations and not producing enough food
for their people may have to resort to this system of food production
if only to prevent the food riots many people fear will happen.
Responsible leaders of these countries should not hesitate to take
off for the rural areas and the farms themselves with their Coleman
heaters and share the experience of the cold nights in the farms
with the farmers in an effort to rally all the people to help in
the planting and production of food.
The call of the hour is leadership by example as what Mao Tse Tung
did for his people. Any way, government leaders and the more affluent
among the population can still afford the cost of a Catalytic
Water Heater if necessary for them to be warm enough while sleeping
out in the farms serving their time to do work with the soil to
help stop the world food shortages.
The leaders of many nations should also emulate the efforts of Al
Gore (former US Vice-President) now in rallying the world to do
something fast to solve the world's problems on the rising temperatures
due to global warming and the consequent lowering of food production
in the farms. Gore strikes out to any remote rural community to
set the pace for his movement to tackle what he calls the "inconvenient
truth" in our environment. He must have his own portable Coleman
heater during his trips to the colder countries.
Many so-called conservative critics of Gore and the many environmentalists,
who support him in the new effort to save the world, should also
discipline themselves to help in the effort of saving humankind
instead of just yakking from the comfort of their homes and offices.
They should now learn where to buy their portable portable
heater and prepare themselves to spend some time out in the
boondocks for their contribution to improving the environment.
These critics unfortunately are the writers
of newspaper columns, and even books, trying to preserve their own
“glory days”, not realizing that the new world problems are even
harder than the World War years all nations experienced in the past.
Many who suffered the hunger and starvation during those years hope
that they and their grandchildren now will not go through the ordeals
they experienced during those hard times.
The sooner the people of the world
accept and realize the grievousness of the current crisis in food,
the better.
